New ideal, starting on the first!

Well I have my work cut out for me on this project. I thought about this one for awhile. But I finally decided to draw up the plans tonight. A tv stand bearded dragon enclosure. This enclosure will measure 2ftx2ftx4ft, and have a small 4" clearance for the lights which will be screened off so feeders cant get up there. I will be using oak plywood and mking the enclosure doors like its a cabinet which will hav acyrlic plastic sheets.

At first I was going to just make it into a coffee table but we needed a new tv stand. If its a bad ideal just tell me and I'll scratch that ideal
 
Is this for Freckles or a new addition? I'm guessing the TV will be above the enclosure. Just be careful that too much heat doesn't hurt the TV. And leave it tuned to animal planet!
 
Yes it will be for Freckles... He's my lose crickets so he's out most of the time. Think I should leave another 4" clearence from the top panel and the light panel?
 
I also wanted to do something like this for our corn snake just a little smaller. Was thinking about a end table with a pull off top.
 
I could do that and that sounds like an awesome ideal. Only problem is my husband granny, well pretty much whole family is terrified of reptiles lol
 
1 issue I've found is I don't really know which light fixture I should get on both enclosures. I can't do a over the top one since there its going to be closed. And snake enclosure I was thinking 2ftx2ftx2ft he's a corn snake so he shouldn't get to big right
 
Ok finally was able to draw up a blueprint on Freckles enclosure and Checkers enclosure. Did alot of thinking today about this enclosure. First things first, I'll be making Freckles enclosure first. Then after we move I'll be working on Checkers enclosure.

Freckles Enclosure:
- 2ftx2xftx4ft with a 6"-12" (not sure yet) clearance for lights. I'm nore really liking the idea of putting the lights in with him. This way I know that he wont get burned and feeders wont get out.
- Light panel will be screened off where Freckles and feeders wont be able to reach.
- There will be 4 vents, 2 in back 1 on each sides
- I'm making a hide out for him. And since the lights wont be inside with him, there will be a second shelf for him to climb on.
- Floor will have http://www.lowes.com/pd_166231-79508-07205_4294773819__?productId=1040249&Ns=p_product_price|0 on it for easy cleaning.
- Back will have a nice desert background
- Doors will be like cabinet doors with http://www.lowes.com/pd_78778-1638-...143523&Ntt=acrylic+sheet&Ns=p_product_price|0

Checkers Enclosure
- 2ftx2ftx2ft - Media center will be 2ftx2ftx4ft with several shelves for PS3, cable box, dvds, etc
- There will be 2 doors. 1 on top (screened) for easy access and lights. Side door for easy access and cleaning made like Freckles cabinet doors
- There will be 2 vents screened off since cornsnakes are escape artist.
- Making him some new hide outs and new place to climb
- Floor will have same as Freckles
- Grassy background

Checkers enclosure will come after we move. But wanted to share my ideal. Think my little girl (new addition) will be on the other side. My other addition I'll have to think about what to do with her.
