Lets hope so indeed. Even when they’re completely healthy and husbandry is spot on, it’s a real hell and nerve breaking for us keepers to witness this whole process. On the other hand, once they have successfully finished then it is one most beautiful things witness with them

That sucks! Maybe try ordering some on line to get a better mix of genders. For successful breeding you’ll want to have more females than males, with a ratio of at least 5:1. Some on line sellers may sell a breeding colony start up, but I couldn’t tell you which. I’ll see if I can find some.

Thank you!!!! I’ve ordered some females online, and they should be here in a few days. It was so annoying when I got home and noticed how all I had was males lol.

They may be breeding their own colonies and keeping the majority of females to keep their colony ratios ideal.
