Hello all Ive lurked and learned for months here. I purchased a lovelly pair of Sambavas from Northwest Chameleons awhile back. Ive named them Dood and Marolyn. I was hoping Dood would get lots of the sambava reds and oranges but Ive become attached regardless of color now lol.
Marolyn posted up right under her heat lamp on day 1 and even though it wasnt that hot she still managed to burn herself. I took her to my vet and she has healed very well. I rearranged the cage furnishings so the lamp would be further away. Im very happy with these guys and they are alot of fun to have!

Hello & welcome to the forum. A lot of information is available here if you want or need it, also just a lot of nice people & pretty chameleons.

You have some pretty chameleons, thanks for sharing.

They're beautiful. What does he look like when he is fired up? Who's his sire? :)

Welcome to the addiction.

He gets a little more yellow but thats pretty much his fired colors. His father was Rantabe I wanted a torch male but they didnt have any. My female is from Torch though :)

I love torch!!!! He is so gorgeous!!! He was one I was really really considering getting my baby from, before I decided on "el lobo" from cham.only. CONGRATS!!!

First and foremost Welcome!

Nice looking Panthers, how old are they? from you Panther experts is there a possibility of him getting in some more color as he matures. I probably think thats the case. But regardless they both look really Healthy.

Cool Names.

It looks like he's going through the teenager blue sambava phase. If he isn't too old I bet he'll get more orange, yellow, and red. He looks really good though!

Sambava's really start to show their red, oranges, and yellows around 9 or 10 months. Thats when you can usually expect the sunset look when they are fired up. That is a conservative estimate though as alot of them get their colors sooner than that.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!
If memory serves (been wrong before) the female is 9 months and the male is 7. He does show alot of blue and turquois
