Lucy's new pad.

After a few revisions this is the final home for my juvi veiled cham Lucy. Its a 16x16x30 screen cage. In the pic its hard to see the log that runs from one back corner to the top corner ( basking area). The lights are a 50w basking light and a 5.0 uvb bulb. After this pic I put in the floor pan with multiple layers of paper towel. The pot is lifted so I can simply open the bottom and slide it out for easy cleanup. The wooden rods are simple dowels cut to length.

I hand spray 3 times daily and have a red solo cup drip down the foliage in the front right. Pretty much constantly when im home.

Figured I'd post this to see if anyone has any suggestions or any tips on somethings I may be doing wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Eddie

What do you mean by "it is the final home"? You mean that is the last cage you are going to upgrade to? Those cages are very small. I use them for babies. I know the female Veilds do not get near as big as the females, but in my opinion that is just not enough room. Cage looks nice though!!

Guess I worded that bad. Its her cage for now, just until she out grows it. Since ive had her I notice her tendencies and wanted to change things up a bit... just things like more vines in areas she wasnt using and swapped the plant for an edible hibiscis. I know in less then a year she will need a 2x2x4 or just a tad smaller. I just want this pad to he as comfy as can be til its time to move on.

Ive had lizards before and other pets but this lil Cham takes the cake. By far the coolest. I find myself watchin hwr more then TV while trying to be inconspicuous most of the time....lmao

lol! Oh I am glad she will get something bigger when she is an adult. I know what you mean about watching them. When I got my first chameleon, my daughter and I literally pulled up chairs and just stared! They are very cool!
