Yes Juli, this baby's from the retained clutch. Most of the eggs went bad just a few weeks after Camille laid. I have a couple more eggs. Keep your fingers crossed for them.

Oh jann what a beauty you have there. Nui has a baby baby sister! You going to keep if it ends up being the only one? Such a wonderful surprise when the others are turning 6mo old!

how long after the main clutch was laid did Camille lay the retained eggs? also, how many were in the retained clutch origionally and how many are you thinking might hatch?

We are not planning to keep a baby.

Lisa, Luie and Camille mated on 7/10/09 and the first clutch was laid 8/5/09. She did not lay the retained clutch until 2/1/10 there were 43 eggs but most molded over and were removed the first few weeks. I have 3 more eggs that look like they might hatch. My daughter said she didn’t think Camille could retain sperm for that long but I just kept the eggs that looked good anyway.
