Lennon’s new bioactive tank build

I have been gathering supplies for the past couple months for a new bioactive tank for Lennon. I have enough stuff to get started now. Still need lights, plants, substrate, etc.

I have already built the stand for the tank.

I just started on the tank today. Just have some cork bark pieces siliconed into place so far.

Awesome! Wish I could be good at that! ??

Im sure you can be / are and don’t know it. It just takes time and the right stuff. I go into it with a bit of a plan but then end up just free balling it. The hard scaping is the easy part (other then carving all the spray foam) it’s the plants that are hard for me to get right.

Yes, I will take three stands please :hilarious: How did you attach the wheels on the bottom? Picture???? ?

Looking great hun! Can't wait to see the finished enclosure!

well you know I would build you some stands if I wasn’t over 4000km away lol.

to attach the wheels I used these concrete screws ( just what I had that would fit the holes on wheels and had a big enough head to hold them in place)

Can I just say I’m so impressed with ppl diy builds ? if I ever tried to make a cabinet I would hammer my hand to it

haha I basically just made a box. If I had a good table saw I would be making a real nice cabinet. (I almost went to school for cabinet making. Life took a different turn)

Awesome thank you! So are those 1x4's on the bottom and then 1x2's just for the rest of the frame?

the pieces the wheels are attached to are 2x4’s and the rest is 2x3’s. I just had to use the 2x4’s because the mounting plates on the wheels were to big for the 2x3’s.
