I am building a bioactive viv and these are the plants I have collected to plant in the ground substrate and mounted wall baskets and hanging baskets:
I went to a Butterfly Greenhouse today and saw some of these specimens that grew huge! Peace Lily and Croton were easily 4-5 feet tall and wide.
Let me know if any of these will grow far too large for a viv. My viv is glass and 36w 18d 48h.
I have built two planted vivs in the past. I remember my Ficus pumilia (Creeping Fig) grew like a weed and choked out most of the grow space and covered everything.
I want to avoid some of the plants that are known to grow too large or take over.
Future plants I want to add are some bromeliads, rubber tree, ficus, and get some sphagnum moss to grow on the walls.
Fluffy Ruffle Fern
Pan Am Pilea
Schefflera
Pothos (Neon)
Pothos (Fernandos Fire)
Prayer Plant
Petra Croton
Red Anne Fittonia
