Java Moss and Chams

I was wondering if I could use java moss with my chameleon because I have loads extra from my aquariums, and if it is used with fish, frogs, anoles, salamanders....why not use it with a chameleon

I am not sure what java moss is, but if it is stringy I would not use it as it could pose as a potential choking hazard if injested.

Java moss is a type of moss used mainly in aquariums but also can be used on land, and it is only stringy if no animal is keeping it matted down by walking on it, I'm more worried that it may be potentially dangerous because it is never listed as a chameleon safe plant. Has anybody else tried this before?
