Hey guys, I know it’s pretty quick after the anole situation. But I didn’t actually use ANY money on this pet.
So, the other day, I was just sitting in my chair alone being sad after the anole died. I looked at my window next to Spyro’s cage and saw a spider on there. I don’t know about you but I’ve always loved bugs since I was 5 lol.
I took a cup and paper and put it into a tiny container. It was a Bold Jumping Spider. And jumping spiders are my fav! It’s like the universe just sent me a pet after feeling bad about the anole….
I just put it in a 4 x 4 x 11 round butterfly thing.
I just kept it in there for a day or so. I then identified her sex and found out she’s a female! She’s also a cute little juvenile. I named her くも. If your wonder what くも is, it’s “ spider “ in Japanese. Pronounced “ Kumō.”
I then decided I didn’t want to buy a jumping spider enclosure off of Etsy for $50 so I DIYed it.
I took a dog treat plastic container. I then used a hot glue gun to just melt little air holes into the top and sides. Then I took sticks and sphagnum moss. I made her a little nest using a plastic thing and sphagnum moss.
I am going to add a door tomorrow. And I already know how I’m going to do it. Kumo is already in her cage though.
I put in one mealworm for her becuase I know they’ll eat until they die and she latched onto it and ate the entire day. I’ll add some pictures of her
she has a little orange dot on her abdomen.
Just saying, THIS IS NOT A FINAL TANK! I am going to add more stuff to her enclosure.
She’s also a fuzzy little girl :3
