Is this plant safe

Hello all,

This is my first post so be kind.

I purchased a codiaeum variegatum for my soon to be here baby nosy be.
I did not see it on the safe list but do you think it will be ok?

Look at "Dantes Welcoming Party" he has one in his cage... I think tis the same plant.

But

You may also want to add some other plants anyway ie. ficus, schlefflera, or hibiscus. Although the above plant is a good addition to a cage, they should not be used as the primary plant.

I've seen it in a few cages around here in my research. They do have some toxicity but so do ficus. As long as they don't eat it and panther usually don't eat any greens; unless it's a hibiscus flower.

so yes it is toxic....I think as a general rule. if it has milky sap...not good
