Hello,
If you don't remember me (which im sure you don't) my last 2 threads were https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/im-backkkkkkkkkkkkkk-and-i-need-helppppp.195556/ and https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/10-year-old-buying-chameleon.189396/page-4#post-1757986 . After making a games site, reselling computers, and learning a lot of C++, i'm at the point where i can blow $9000 and not really be too affected by this. I'm 14 now, last time i came on here was when i was 13 and 10 respectively. Now, unlike my other hard headed threads where i ignored what the others were telling me "DO NOT BUY FROM SHADY SOURCES" i was 2 seconds away from buying from a shady source (5 months ago) until i showed up to pay and i saw the one i was gonna buy... dead. That humbled me up pretty quick. Anyway, i have zero recellection of what you need to care for a chameleon, but i have time, patience, and money, and looking back at the other threads its clear that's the 3 things you need. So for (hopefully) one last time, please help me. Also yes i got a leopard gecko, the beardie died though :(

Thanks,
Ramon

Sorry to hear that. Poor beardie. 🥺
I don’t have any idea of how much of an investment you wish to make, so let me guide you to Neptune the chameleon’s kits. https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...vanced-chameleon-kit-by-neptune-the-chameleon It pretty much includes all you’ll need to get started, minus branches, plants and the chameleon. It’s always best to get everything set up and running for a bit before getting the chameleon.
What is your preferred method of learning husbandry? There is https://chameleonacademy.com/chameleon-husbandry-program-getting-started-with-chameleons/ if you want to know not just what to do, but why it’s done the specific way. If you are a more visual learner and prefer video, I suggest Neptune the Chameleon on YouTube. If you prefer a more personalized touch, we can go over everything here and you can ask as many questions as you like.

Congratulations on your side-hustle with Computers! 🥳 That's awesome that you've established such an income at 14, that's commendable!!!

My best advice is to setup your cage and making all the adjustments, before your Cham comes home. MissSkittles has already given you the most solid advice.

I just have to mention a fantastic breeder, they are established and highly qualified. Although I'm in Canada, thus I cannot easily acquire from them; I've closely followed Kammerflage for years. They have some of the most stunning Chameleons available, and they care deeply about their Chams... I'm hoping, with my connections, to acquire one of their offsprings one day.

You should post a husbandry review of your Leopard Gecko.
It would be nice to see.

As for a Chameleon
Start with keeping the plants alive for a while under the T5 4' lamps.
(You could easily spend a month just getting the plants understood before ever buying a tree, a specific planter, or rocks and substrate.)

In the meantime, Google the crap out of how to keep a Chameleon alive safe and healthy.
Scroll down the threads and read as long as you'de like.

The longer you wait now the healthier you're chameleon will be later.
🙏 Good Luck!

They die slow and painfully if you get it wrong.
Most importantly, humble yourself along the way and try not to get it wrong.
