I talk to my chameleons, even though they can't hear me

The other day my roomate dropped the tv remote on the hardwood floor making a very loud sound while I was staring at the cham (which i do all the time) and the cham literally jumped from being frightened. So they are clearly receptive to sound / vibration, I talk in a high pitch comforting tone to my cham all the time so I have to believe that he remembers my voice and that I mean no harm when I talk to him as I approach.

So I think that talking to your chams definitely helps improve the bond.

I talk to all my animals, which includes- 9 month old kink the cham, soon to be unnamed male baby hoe, 9 month old english setter ammo, 4 year old DLH cat Timber, 3 yeard old ferret otter, 3 year old red eared slider (named turtle), and the various fish in the 75 gallon tank.
perfectly normal.
ANd i swear they understand me.
I told kink i was buying him his big boy plant (ie a 4ft scheffelara) and that he got to be free ranged, so he better drop the tude and not leave his plant. So far, so good.
