How to catch annoying crickets?

Hi all,

I have a couple of rogue crickets in one of my enclosures, that have escaped being eaten and grown up to be annoying chirping little pains in the a**e, which are too big for my guy to eat.
Does anyone know how to trap them, ie DIY cricket trap, small enough for lizard enclosures?
I have researched a few on the net but they are for outside applications.
Please help as it is keeping the family awake at night...

Cheers Scott.

i got the same problem as you. hunt them down and get them, lol. i like almost destroyed a room looking for one. i hate crickets. they are so annoying!

I remember reading some sort of technique where you wait until its dark out and then put a flashlight on the ground near the place you think the cricket is, and if you wait enough, it will come right up to the light because of the heat (or something along those lines).... if it works, you get the oh so satisfying reward of crushing the little bastard with your giant foot

i've also heard of someone alwhile ago just putting a piece of egg carton in the bottom of the enclosure. and once the bugger is on it you can take it or kill said cricket.

I would try putting a toilet paper/paper towel roll in their, making sure to block one end with a rubber band and paper towel or something. They should go right for it.

I buy the mouse/bug traps that have the insude of the tube set with some REALLY sticky stuff... they get out, walk around the edge of the room and into the trap... Works like a charm!
