Hello! Welcome to Chameleon Forums!

Its great to have you on board! ;)

To answer your question, its highly variable.

Jacksons when young are not green, but rather browns, greys, blacks, and red. So if it is young, he may not be green for awhile.

A chameleon may get used to its new environment in a few days, or a few weeks.

Here is some info Id recommend that you review, and then if you have any questions, please ask!!!

Again, welcome to Chameleon Forums :)

both my jackson's i rescued are brown right now. my boy is getting a lil bit of green under his belly and even some blue under his chin. my girl is brown with a cool pattern all the time. it could take up to a month sometimes even more. my girl actually settled right in, my boy is still acting up. both are very active though

The reason why i said bright green is because when i bought him, he was a brown and a bright green! Black and red would be awesome :) hes already eating and everything. Hes getting used to it already!
