I'm sorry you lost another one.I use filtered tap water, and it's usually room temperature, so I don't think the water has to be warm. Is there so much water that it's standing in the bottom of the cage? If so, that's probably too much. Maybe the chlorine (if it's city water and not well water) in the water hurts them like it does fish? What are you using for substrate?
I hope you get some babies, soon. Maybe the one that passed laid eggs before it died. Mine are still producing, but not as many as before. Not sure if it's because they're not quite as warm as they were, but I did find about 15 new babies.
