Gutload with pics

Well, I just made my gutload blend for the next two months, and I figured I’d post about it with pics. Thorough though I tried to be with this recipe, I’m happy to hear constructive criticism.

Pic 1, left to right: carrots, butternut squash, sweet potato, okra, arugula, basil, rosemary

pic 2, left to right: endive, beat greens, mustard greens, dandelion leaves, collard greens

pic 3, clockwise from top left: grapefruit, orange, apple, blackberry, banana, papaya, prickly pear

missing from pics: canned olives, pitted and washed thoroughly! (FYI: canned olives have a ridiculous ca : p ratio!)

pic 4, additional ingredients: bee pollen, spirulina, 100% powdered mulberry leaves

pic 5: repashy bug burger and superload

pic 6: what the slop looks like after blending.

I do something very similar! Wet and messy but worth it

do you freeze them ? if so do you thaw the cubes first then feed ? isn't it messy ?? I like the bug burger because it stays in gelatin form and is less messy . im wondering if I can do the same but add flavorless gelatin to keep it from turning into goop ...

So here’s the thing: once it’s done blending, if it’s too watery, just add bug burger or superload until it looks more like pudding. Then freeze it. Honestly, when we pull out the frozen cubes, they melt a bit but generally keep their form.

That poor dog, it thought something tasty hit the floor...

As for another "slop" technique. I have problems ejecting the stuff from the icecube trays. So either i spray hot water onto the back of the tray, or a make a bunch of meat balls on a glass cutting board and freeze the whole thing. Then i can just spray a bit of hot water on the cutting board and they all release.

I use silicone ice cube trays for this reason. Had a heck of a time getting the cubes out, otherwise!

Further to my last,

all raw ingredients were divided into six equal portions, and blended together in six batches. Probably off on my portions, but IDGAF
Nobody actually knows what the proper proportions are so you could be dead on or off the map. We just keep mixing it up hoping we get something into them they can use.

When it becomes putty you can put some in the bin with your insects right away? Or it has to be frozen first then provided? And the bug burger is the gel type?
