I'm no expert, but I cannot see a spur on either Cham's back feet. I would say they are both Female. Very nice looking females I should say!:)

And a few more...now ur opinions :)

Thanks :) They don't have spurs surely, but I wasn't sure if this species have spurs? They are Chamaeleo dilepis...

Pic 1.3 = ? how 'bout a tail base shot?
Pic 2.0 =? how 'bout a tail base shot?
Pic 2.1 = male
Pic 2.2 = male
Pic 2.3 = ? how 'bout a tail base shot?

They are looking great!

Thanks Trace, however, the pics named 1 (1.0, 1.1 etc..) are all of the same cham, the ones names with 2 are of the other. The first one is very shy, but eats well, and is very calm. The other one is already pretty agressive, can't stay in one place and it always try to escape when I take them outside...it also has sharper coloration...
If this species has also the tarsal spur, then I would be guessing they are both females...anyone kept dilepis chams?
All the best

Hi Filip! :D

DOH! Was I wrong on animal #1 then! Knowing that information now, you've got 2 males there.

I'm currently keeping a female dilepis dilepis from Brandy's clutch earlier this summer but I still have much to learn about them. At this point, my interests are still with the bitaeniatus + relateds.

I do believe some of the dilepis subspecies have the tarsal spur. The dilepis petersii and the dilepis quilensis come to mind. (I just moved so much of my chameleon information is still packed up!)

Good luck with the babies. How many did you have again?
