Florida just got a bit weirder

I’ve been outside looking for fallen iguanas. None around my house, maybe since we are close to the ocean. On his way to work this morning my husband picked up four out of the road and put them over in the sun to warm up. When he got to work he picked up about 20 off the property and put them in the sun to warm up.

My friends yard this morning. They are not dead and should be fine when they warm up.

This little guy is looking much better after two hours in the sun.

This quote came from USA Today "
Iguana meat, dubbed “chicken of the trees,” started showing up for sale on Facebook Marketplace overnight in South Florida, the Miami Herald reported.

"Mango season may be months away, but if you live in South Florida today, your trees may be ripe for the picking – of iguanas," according to the Herald, which published the headline "Tacos, anyone? Iguanas are falling from trees, and people are selling the meat online."
It is from the Miami Herald so... go figure.
