First Acceptance Letter! Woo!

I'm currently a junior doing molecular biology, but this past winter I decided to transfer into an art school with the hopes of becoming a biomedical illustrator instead. Within a couple months I made a portfolio, applied, and have been waiting for my acceptance letters...

And I got my first one this weekend! Yay. I was worried I was going to end up homeless and school-less but now that I'm in at least one I feel much better lol.

I really want my letter from Ringling to come in though! That's my top choice because it's excellent in digital art. So if anyone here is from Sarasota, let me know because I'm going to be needing friends for when I move over there, fingers crossed!

For all of you out there, Olimpia does FANTASTIC work and her skill level is incredible. Olimpia, I have do doubt that you will do very well. While I'm sure you were doing well in molecular biology, I'm positive that you will be one he** of an illustrator! You go, girl!!

Haha me neither! I was really dissapointed when I thought I might have to miss Daytona this year, since all my other options were really far up north. And then I applied to Ringling as a secnd thought and then there was hope! You don't know how much I want to see the shirts in person!

I got an unofficial acceptance from Ringling! I got an email last night from the admissions team saying that they really want to accept me, but they need my spring grades before they can make if official. My spring grades are great, so I hope that I'm essentially as good as in! Can't say I'm in yet, but it's a great sign if you get an email saying they really want to accept you!

I got the letter Wednesday, so yesterday we ran over to Sarasota and spent two days there looking at the school and at apartments. So get ready Tampa Bay people.... I'm going to be your new neighbor
