Hi she looks horrible and skinny too. Digging like crazy paws and face dirty. Here's a photo what should I do?

If she's digging, let her be.
The dirt should be damp enough to hold a tunnel that won't collapse on her.
It took my female 3 days and 4 holes to finally lay.

She's doing the same in the photo. It's pretty soaked the soil wish I used wet sand but tried the light colored play sand and doesn't hold a tunnel. Top soil as I seem in a video holds well. I'll keep you posted just wish I knew what was wrong with my panther female. Had a very watery poop and orange pink urates.

When a chameleon is digging don't let her see you watching her or she may abandon the hole thinking it's not a safe place to lay the eggs. If it happens often enough it can lead to eggbinding.

Here's how the egglaying should go.....
The female may dig several holes before deciding on one. Once she chose one she will dig it for several hours or maybe even several days until she is satisfied with it. She will then turn around butt down and lay the eggs...usually in the evening. She will fill the hole in and tamp it down and return the branches.

Patience and good luck.

Thanks and egg binding what is that exactly? She just looks so bloated and skinny. I gave liquid calcium yesterday because she wouldn't eat crickets or superworms. See what happens by tomorrow.

When they are eggbound they can't lay he eggs. If this happens they will eventually start going down hill and die.

OH!!! I see well not my sweetheart she has been laying the past few hours. Just covered them before lights went down. So she will be looking for a ton of food tomorrow after some rest. She just looks so terrible her skull bones are seen in her face. Poor baby with her laying this be first time for the year and twice last year. Does her lifespan really decrease with infertiled eggs. I hope not but she's doing what she has too do I guess.

Hello again my little momma veiled layed 52 eggs I found and bagged them and put in freezer. Infertile eggs are duds right she buried them very well. But my problem today is wouldn't eat a thing. I put a superworm in her mouth and pushed it out. Usually the day after laying she eats like crazy. All eggs were completely white. With my two females panther and veiled are stressing me out so bad I feel like giving up on them. Just doesn't make sense they were fine

Still wont eat a thing I even tried silkworms. So no calcium in her since she latex just water.

You may want to have her checked out by a vet to see if she's retained eggs.it's bothering me that you said she looked skinny even before laying the eggs and that she spit the food out.

She has got me so depressed and scared. Tryed silkworms for both females one seems scared of them. The other spit one out. Before the eggs happen she was eating the dirt and stopped her. Maybe impaction with the egg chameleon. I'll have to locate a vet sucks I don't have much cash. I purchased a reptaid see if it helps them. They were doing so wonderful and feel like I failed them in some way of doing something wrong over the past few weeks.

First day dropped two off the vine and two days later dropped 52 in the hole. She did the 52 like this put her rear end in hole and covered up hole with dirt over hours of time. Hasn't been near her laying pot since. The other female eat a super worm yesterday but only one. She has a bulge under her eye and pulse rates at the top of the eye. Eye ball lid doesn't look right.

Okay, there seems to be way too much going on here.

She does look under fed in photo, with a belly full of eggs.

What where you feeding her prior to the poo? Pretty soaked soil doesn't sound too fun to lay eggs in. Veil is now a female panther:confused:

Handling the cham to give liquid calcium only compound issues if she's trying to dig and lay her eggs in privacy.

Where you around or own her when this chameleon laid two clutches last year?

Putting a superworm in her mouth isn't going to work. She'll have to activity want to eat a food item. Stress of laying process may have done her in.

Is she drinking water on her own? or being helped?

What changed in the past few weeks? beside the health of the chams?

My apologies I been very overwhelmed with my two females. Under feed they recently over the past few weeks stopped eating. Mainly crickets and superworms and sand has never worked like I wanted it to. Always been a veiled I mentioned my female panther is on a hunger strike also. I let her be the day of the 52 eggs no handling. Next day I offered crickets and silkworms both dusted in calcium wouldn't eat a thing spit out the silk I put in her mouth. Then I new she wasn't going to eat then I gave liquid calcium because I no it's needed after egg laying.
Yes she layed two clutches of eggs around this time last year 34-36 I think it was. Then eat like a pig afterwards. My veileds tougue only comes out about a inch happen right after I got her.
She will drink from the leaves both will and likes when I mist water in her mouth that was right after laying. Discharge and urates was her poop yesterday and today nothing.
Only change was I loss my male ambilobe and was in same room to take apart cage and clean plants and vines. I also cleaned up the females cages as well. That's about it and tested there bask temps were in 90's high 90's now 80-83 basking.

Now she's doing this photo attached and hisses with her head pointed up. You no the sound they make when they try to bite you.

We are trying to help but we arent getting through to you. Your last picture is exactly the same dry dirt that was posted in the last thread. Im starting to wonder if your just looking for the answers you want or if your actually here for help. Im sorry to sound harsh but things have to change and it doesnt seem like your taking the steps to do so......

Please go spend 5 bucks on a 50lb bag of sand. It should be moist enough straight out of the bag.

I will re list the links you should read and follow.

I understand your trying to help but seem to go around my concerns. Dirt works perfectly fine for her and layed a bunch of eggs in it. Don't you get most reptiles get impacted from sand. I watched a video from this site and use organic topsoil same as what am using.
I am here for advice and improvements and my concerns. Not looking for what I want to here.
If your going to keep going around my updates with this sand. I will quit posting and if they get worse whatever I tried if they die probably will. Again today won't eat nothing just sitting under basking light.
I don't appreciate being treated as a troll and posting updates as the days go by to help them more.
That is ok I will not look for improvements and advice from this site.

They are going to die anyways. I can't get them to the vet because of the cost am still paying of my dogs surgery. So whatever I tryed and give up on both of them.
