my cham has been egg bound i have tried everythjng for her and she is not laying now her eyes are beginning to sunk in I really need help! She is a cap este female
What should I do. I tried cocofiber and sand
Tried str8 play sand with soil
And she digs very shallow then stops digging and goes back up now she does not even have the strentgh to dig anymore
I am
Feeding her silkworms and hornworms dusted very well
Also crickets too
What can I do for her !?

Have you provided absolute privacy for her? If she sees anyone or anything else makes her feel unsafe, she will stop digging. There is only a limited amount of time that her hormones which tell her to dig are active. She may be having a physiological problem. Most definitely a vet visit asap is recommended at this point. The more time passes, the weaker she becomes. Not to mention, I would imagine it is quite painful to not be able to pass your eggs.

Not to be a jerk, but I am curious…looking back on your previous posts, you have had so many issues and problems with breeding, so why are you still doing this? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

If she’s truly eggbound she needs to be spayed before she’s too weak to survive the surgery or she will die.

Ok ima try to help her out i did not breed her. They are infertile eggs

I did not breed her they are infertile eggs . She has not been paired up w any male

At this point you can't do anything if she does not even have the strength to dig. You have to take her to a reptile vet that knows how to spay them.

The worst thing you can do with a female is continue to invade their space when they are testing out digging spots. You don't want to keep switching their lay bin for something new. Females will dig test spots and then come back to them. Especially a young female new to laying.

I want to note you never want to over supplement. All supplements should be very lightly dusted. Too much of a good thing is just as bad as too little.
