my female veiled is/has developed her colors, she’s around 5-6 months and i was wondering where i could get her a laying bin that’s 12x12x12? but i also have 2 pothos in her enclosure, would she lay in those or is it better to get a laying bin aswell? her cage is only a 18x18x 36. and what substrate should be used ?

I just noticed that your cage is built upside-down...

For the bin itself I got mine at the dollar store. They usually have various sizes bins, or Home Depot/Walmart/Lowe's has a good selection too. It should be 12" long and wide, and about 8" tall, or 6" tall minimum. Sometimes you can also find plant pots this big. Some totes measure size by quarts you'll want a 16Q. Like this one from Amazon. Anything larger won't fit in the cage.

You'll want a mixture of 1/2 play sand from home Depot /Lowe's and 1/2 organic dirt. Although some people use just sand, Due to the size of your cage I recommend using the dirt so you can add a plant to a corner of the bin. You'll want to fill the bin so its 6" deep minimum, or 8" max with the sand/soil.

It's hard to say if she'll lay in the pothos pot. It's not unheard-of, but it's best to give her the option of having the bin.
