Feeding crickets & humidifying free range chams

I'm starting to free-range T-Rex, I open his cage door and have a good size ficus plant that I put right outside his cage door and I put branches connecting his plant in his cage to the ficus out of his cage and we put lots of branches for him to climb above the counter and such - a regular jungle gym for him and he loves it. But he is use to hunting crickets and we just let the crickets loose in his cage but now that I'm free ranging him, the crickets get out and I would prefer not to have crickets all over my house. I've heard of cup feeding but how do you cup feed crickets to him without the crickets jumping out of the cup? And what sort of cup do I use? Also, how do I make sure he's getting enough humidity when he doesn't stay in his cage? Do I have to keep making him go back in there and close it every once in awhile or what?
