Environmental Influences on mating

Most often wild animals take cues from the environment to trigger mating behavior. Working with some species of fish I've had to duplicate the rainy and dry seasons to stimulate a breeding response.

Has any one tried this with Melleri? And if so was it any help? What other cues besides rainfall, temp, photo period, and barometric pressure are there to consider?

Also does any one know approximately what month is breeding season for these guys? I've found plenty of info on the specific conditions I've listed for each month of the yr in Tanzania. But can't find any matching info regarding Melleri breeding.
