Enclosure ideas that may help you

So the enclosures coming along nicely.

I installed and mounted my automated misting lines by using the one hole the enclosure had when it arrived. Then I weaved it through the lattice as to hide it from site. All I have to do is cut the 1/4 hose I purchased from Lowe’s to length and mount in its perminant home towards the front of the enclosure to maximize water coverage while also directing as much as possible downwards onto the screen drainage hole which will drain into this Tupperware I plan on putting wood panneling on to make it more astetically pleasing. Im also going to add a bulkhead and a faucet so I do not have to remove the bin to drain it.

I also installed the piece of 2x6 up top with a screw in ring that I acquired so I could hang my potted pothos from the top of the enclosure, the board is 25” long to ensure that the weight is distributed throughout the enclosure, and it holds up to about 20-25 pounds of pressure no problem. Perfect to hang a potted plant.

I also coated the branches with a gloss clear coat as to seal the wood from any kind of moisture to obtain the maximum life time out of them, no one wants saggy wood! Haha

I’ll keep ya’ll updated! Here’s some pics

Added some plastic to the rear of the enclosure to ward off against spray and also help contain humidity. Again I used zip ties to attach a piece of painters plastic to the back. Got it nice and taught then cut the peremiter so that the plastic will not be visible from the sidesof the enclosure

I also grabbed a black Tupperware to use as my drainage bin to help with astetics and also lower the chances of bacteria and algae growth within the bin. Things are moving along nicely, I may even have KP in his new kingdom by tonight!

Just got the hanging pothos in, and it’s working really well. It holds the weight with ease.

I used hemp cord again, drilling holes in the pot and running the cord through to create a loop, then I used another piece to fasten it to the hanging hoop. All in all think it looks good and worked the way I wanted it too

Now all I need is to add some vine, add some wood, throw the lights up and this thing is done..... for now

Since we are talking about cage set up, I have the same cage as Matthew43s. Instead of twisty ties, I used a thick (but not to thick) kind of fishing wire that I just but through the screen and double knotted it so it would stay there with the weight of my chameleon. The brand of the wire cord stuff is Zebco omniflex. It works great and I've never had to use a twisty tie!

Thank you for that, I really appreciate it! I’m glad to see people are liking it,

So here we go, I believe i’m Done! Have everything in, and I think it looks almost exactly like I pictured. There’s a few More things I need to get, but all in all I’m happy about it and I think KP will enjoy it too. I’m just letting everything get acclimated making sure temps and humidity are right before I put him in. But here it is!

And here’s the man of the hour, he’s grumpy as hell cause he’s been shifted around so much but I think he understands why now. Already enjoying his basking spot. I give you KP, and his new home. Hope this helps for anyone looking for ideas, and hopefully I can get someone to say “wow that looks as natural as can be” haha it’s all for him anyways.

Haha no bigger then the misting nozzle, I know you remember that. It’s crazy how fast they grow. Little dude is on his way to becoming a big healthy male. With an attitude to match lol I just wish he was a little nicer but still love him regardless lol
