Egg laying

Thanks. I offered her some crickets and she ate two and then didn't want anymore. I haven't seen her dig today she's been up in her basking spot. I bought a new laying bin that's bigger so I'll put her in there tomorrow when she wakes up.

So I'm taking April to the vet this week probably tomorrow or Tuesday but I read some fourms on here about pet insurance, I'm guessing this vet bill is going to be pretty expensive, so what kind of pet insurance would be good to pay over time and accept right away? I saw someone else had insurance that looked like it was a good choice I can't remember what it was called though.

You are thinking of care credit. If she's eggbound, the credit program will be a huge help! I know vet prices and availability can vary wildly depending on where you live.

I am dealing with same problem , female panther dug her hole to the bottom ,stayed there over night , I haven't looked for eggs because I didn't want to disturb her hole. its been 3 days she's back to normal ,basking, eating crickets and dubia about 8 small crickets and later I feed her 4 med. dubia,,, I 'm going to check out the hole she dug this week when I clean her housrey ,,, good info thanks

Ok thanks I'll look into them. She's being stubborn, I even moved her into a bigger bin and she's been I there for a few days without disturbance I checked on her yesterday still nothing, she has stopped digging it seems, so I dug a few holes for her and she crawled in them and say there, she now just sits in the dirt and I know she didn't lay because I can see the eggs in her. I have an appointment at 5:10 for her today hope everything goes well.

If all ur set up is correctly(temperature, moisture with the lay medium...etc)
I will definitely take her to the vet n mentioned the "Oxytocin" ,plz keep us posted on ur valuable chameleon,I hope she can get through this as soon as possible.

So some good and bad news got an X-ray and no eggs or blockages. The vet thinks it may be a virus and he gave her a shot of antibiotics. He was even a little unsure as to why she stopped eating. He told me to offer her favorite feeders and keep her temps up to 90 basking spot and 77-78 down below just until she is better, also to mist more frequently and higher humidity for now. He also said that we can bring her back to get another shot if needed.

He didn't prescribe any for home? Usually a shot would be followed up with a week or so of medicine at home, I think.

Same here thank you :) I was worried about possible surgery costs but looks like I just need to make sure she gets better. She seems like she was feeling a little better when I got home maybe she did lay them.

Plz dont worry,as long she is getting well from the infection soon, that is the most important thing in the world right now,I will wish her a speedy recovery.

Sorry I didn't see this post. No he didn't I thought the same thing but he wasn't really sure so he gave her one for now to see how she improves and if more is needed then we can get more.

Thank you for the well wishes she seems better already im digging now to see if I find anything.

So far I didn't find any eggs which is weird because she has been showing receptive colors for I think going on 3 months now since August, And then she started turning what I thought was gravid colors not to long ago but apparently not. Any way she looks like she feels better but still won't eat or drink she stares at the food in her cup. When I brought her home after the vet she ate one cricket and a small piece of lettuce and no more after that, I have the dripper going all day for her. After tomorrow if she is still not eating she gets to go back and get another shot of antibiotics.
