Dubia roaches as fishing lures?

Those of you who have dubia colonies, since i read here that the colony can get pretty big in a short amount of time, aside from selling off the excess has anyone ever tried using them as fresh or salt water fishing bait? I like to fish of local piers and coastlines for snappers and weakfish but i usually only use small live fish or squid aside from plasitc/rubber lures and worms and was thinking that a fish would go for something meatier and chewy like a nice well fed nymph.

I feed my chiclids dubia's as treats. They love them.

I dont think you would catch much in saltwater unless around a marsh or near brackish water. Even then. I highly doubt a fish in the north Atlantic off a pier would have any interest in them.
Now freshwater is different. There are probably lots of different freshwater fish in all kinds of habitats that would munch them up. If I had to guess, they would make good catfish bait.
