Could use poop help!

Is anyone to help identify what might be wrong with our chameleon...? She was trying to poop for over 45 minutes today and then this came out... (see photo) she had a healthy poop earlier in the day and a few days before that. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks for your input. It was really hard too..we feed her water all of the time so I don’t how she would be so dehydrated.

Thanks for the video!! I think you are right, especially after seeing that one photo on your linked video. :) Thanks! We will work harder to keep her even more hydrated.

I am about 95% sure this is not an issue with hydration or urate. These look like slugs. Essentially they are unfertilized eggs she is passing.

I am starting to think you’re right. What do we do for her then?
I have tagged in @JacksJill she knows what to do and how to care for her with having the slugs. This is outside my area of knowledge.

In the mean time you can look through these for info on slugs. Of course it will pull those meaning infertile eggs from a Jackson and real slugs lol

Here is one particular that I found with image.

Oh my gosh! Thank you SO VERY much. We were so worried. When I saw this happen today, I was trying to find what it could be and now this makes much more sense.

Be thankful it was slugs and not live babies lol. Jacksons give live birth... Very common for a new owner to get a shock because the cham was in with a male and prior to them getting it.

Good luck with your girl. :)

I freaked the first time one of my females passed slugs and I knew what they were but just didn't recognize them. Those are slugs.
Maybe an extra feeder or two today, run a dripper, then feed and hydrate her normally.
Thank you for the information! :) She has passed another healthy poop this morning and then she has passed about 3 more slugs. ? This is so good to know!!!
