My female veiled chameleon is really fat at her botttomn end even when she tries to flatten herself and yesterday im sure i saw the outline of an egg but she isnt showing gravid colouration. Ill try and get some pics of her but can u tell me what you think.

Yes, photos would help. My Lily never showed gravid coloration with either of her infertile clutches. I understand that if she had seen a male then she would have displayed the classic black/dark green with yellow splodges coloration to ward him off. I don't think that they always show this when gravid. Lily stayed the same colour always, becoming brighter when receptive.

she did become a bit brighter. this clutch should be fertile because i just took my female out from my male. I once see him try to mate her but they didnt connect. She has been spotty and a darker green bits of orange but no yellow

Maybe. Are those green markings new? Is she hanging around the bottom of her cage often? If you said yes to both of these then you should probably put an egg-laying bin in there.

the green markings are rather new but she is a timmed chameelon so hasnt been hanging around the bottm of the cage

I do have a male and i put him in with her and she went dark and started gaping but she did do that before.

If she is under a year old do not breed her. If she is do not because that is to young and can rob her of her calcium and lower her life-span.
