bowl feeding issues

Hi! I have an adult panther chameleon and he has some trouble with his eye causing him to not have the best aim when it comes to eating. One way I have found helps is bowl feeding rather than tong or hand feeding. I thought it was going great until I was on my way to bed and found 3 dubia roaches chilling in his cage. They have clearly made themselves at home and have been out for quiet some time because I have found lots of droppings in his cage. I dont clean his cage often because I have isopods that eat his poop so I had no idea there were loose roaches. I have no clue how they have been living or how many more there could be in his plants! This would be an easy fix by just swaping out the dirt and deep cleaning his cage but I am leaving to go out of town TOMORROW! I am a little worried there may be some that left his cage as well and are in my room but thats not my main issue. I guess what I really want to know is, is it really a concern to have a few roaming around his cage? Once I come back from my trip I will definitely deep clean everything but I sadly have no time. I dont think they can bite and the three i found I removed. I also thought about removing his bug bowl but I dont want to leave him without food the whole time I am away. I know they will eventually die on their own but I worry about them reproducing as I feed large Dubias.

The roaches won’t cause any harm at all to your chameleon. They aren’t nasty like crickets.
I’m more concerned about your guys poor vision. Have you taken him to a vet for it? What multivitamin do you use and how often?

So I got him in Febuary, my sister gave him to me, she got him in November and when she got him she realized there was something wrong and took him to the vet. The vet just gave him generic eye drops that did nothing. I took him to a specialist and they found and ulcer in his eye. We treated it and it is all gone now but the ulcer was on his eye for so long it messed up his eye permanently unfortunately.
