Bluish CFB?

Hi,

This is not strictly speaking a chameleon question, since I use a 24" ReptiGlo 5.0 tube for my cham's chage.

I also have a second terrarium, with an anole in it. I have an incandescent reptisun for heat and basking, and I used to have a compact fluorescent for UV. The bulb recently burned out, however, and I can't find a replacement.

The original bulb gave of a soft, bluish light like you'd get from a fluorescent tube. The only compact fluorescent UV bulbs I can find now, however, give off a really bright white light.

Does anyone know where to get the bluish CFB UV bulbs? Which company makes them, etc.?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Your pal,

Compact bulbs should not be use for chameleons as they can cause prooblems with their eyes. Not sure about the blue/white light though.

Thanks for your concern, I do appreciate it. Like I said, I have a 24" bulb for the chameleon.

The compact is on the anole's terrarium. I've used a CFB for years for the anole with no problems.

And I thought they fixed the problems with the CFBs?
