Bamboo

So I've been hearing mixed things about bamboo sticks for in a chameleon enclosure. I see them in other peoples enclosures all the time and I thought they'd be ok as long as they're skinny enough for them to grasp it but I've also been hearing a that bamboo sticks are too slippery for them to climb on and that they aren't ideal. wanted to know other peoples thoughts and opinions.

I mean, I guess if they are small enough to grab than they might be ok but I wouldnt risk the chance of falling to be honest.

Bamboo would be great to use but it is too slick. Get some nice oak or other non-sappy branches from outside, wash with dish soap, rinse and you’ll be all set.

I did get some from outside and sanded them down so it wasn't sharp or anything. Then I soaked them in really hot water for awhile. Now they've been drying for a few days! Thank you for the helpful advice!

I have a bamboo in one of my enclosures never had a problem. My cham loves to be on it and he never slipped or seemed to have a problem with it.
