Babysitting a dog...

Well I am babysitting my grandma's dog (really small shitzu) for a few days. The dog is staying in my room. Last night I put a towel over Reptar's (my jackson chameleon) cage, it was his bedtime anyways. But I took it off this morning. My question is, if he stays in his cage while the dog is in the room, would that be okay? Or is that still enough to stress Reptar out enough to cause harm. I can put a towel over the front of his cage for a few days...

thanks guy.

Ok just wanted to make sure. I've read stories about dogs and stuff causing them issues. Though, I do know my miniature dachshund with my first chameleon about 10 years ago would go crazy trying to get to her... this one is completely ignoring the dog.

I think it depends on the dog and the chameleon, you know? Prior to us getting OUR puppy, we have had both of my boyfriend's mother's dogs down here with no issues, currently all 3 are here hahaha. We have also had to take care of 6 cats with no issues. But like I said, all dogs and chameleons have different demeanors.

Yeah my english bulldog doesnt even notice the chams. They dont seem to notice him either. But all my cages are at least 31" off the floor so hes way below their line of site.
