Are these isopods too small?

not at all.. that is perfectly fine.. i don't recommend dusting or anything with these.. just giving it to your cham how you got them is fine.. just dont make it a primary feeder.. they're not too easy to digest.. they're not bad at all.. they're equivalent to cricket nutrition but different texture.. just get whatever isopods are a little smaller than your chams mouth/jaw and you're good!

Dont these have a calcium to phosphorus ratio of 6:1 while crickets have a 1:2?

Awwwww they're sold out:( anyone know where I could find something similar to this?

Dwarf isopods are tiny. Get regular sized ones (like A. vulgare, P. scaber, or P. laevis) doubleds.org and bugsincyberspace has them to start a colony.

Yep, those would work. If I'm remembering correctly, they are about 1/2" long or so. The P. laevis are almost and inch long fully grown.

You don't even have to buy any at all. You can find them outside and breed those and feed your cham the babies of the isopods. Sandrachameleon has a great blog on keeping and raising wild caught ones. :D

Yes they are the same. If you want to feed them right away, buy them online. Otherwise you can collect some from outside and breed them yourself. Dont feed the WC isopods though.

Thank you all :D just ordered some. The problem with the wild caught ones are that i havent really seen any at all this summer, i searched for about an hour the other day and i only found one. I figured i would just start my own colony, and its going to be my first breeding project :D
