25 weird phobia's !

1. Paraskavedekatraphobia – Derived from the Greek words for Friday and thirteen, paraskavedekatraphobia is the fear of Friday the 13th. The first known reference to Friday the 13th as unlucky was in 1307, when the Catholic Pope officially ordered that the Knights Templar be disbanded. The group’s members were arrested, brought up on false charges and tortured, while the King of France took their money, land and belongings. Today, many skyscrapers are built “without” a 13th floor – their elevators skipping from 12 to 14.

This one kills me. Here in Ontario in a place called Port Dover we have a HUGE Friday the13th party no matter what month it falls in. It is a biker get together so it is really something to see hundreds of bikes out in the snow on January 13th. If you goggle this Jo you will see what I mean.

I found these two rather amusing, lol!

Pentheraphobia – This one isn’t so weird, actually. Pentheraphobics live in constant fear of their mothers-in-law, which is something that almost every married person can identify with.

Luckily, my mother in law doesn't fall into this category whatsoever, she is the nuttiest, fun and lovable mother in law ever!:D Guess I got lucky (or not - I have to live with her son)!

Peladophobia – Imagine going through life being scared of bald people. How would you get through school, church or even go grocery shopping without encountering anyone with a receding hairline? Lol, that's just funny!:D

Shame Chuck G doesn't suffer from this one! That avatar of his is just creepy, lol! Automatonophobia – This is another phobia that we’re willing to give people a pass on, because ventriloquist’s dummies are pretty creepy.

How about Spheksophobia?

Ill claim that one Kinyongia! Got swarmed and stung repeatedly on the face as a kid retreiving a frisby from a bush. :D

P.S yes, I had to look that one up! I wonder if a fear of not knowing what phobias are called, comes under phobaphobia?
