    dixociclyne

Dude, I’m not embarrassed to say anything nor I’m hiding anything either. Also, I never missed any dosages for his previous medication. The cage is 48”x38” so, it’s pretty big. It has lights for basking, UVA & UVB exposure, an automatic mister that creates “rain”, a big dripper for water...

    dixociclyne

My Jackson’s Chameleon has had a hard time fully recovering from a respiratory illness. Initially, the veterinarian prescribed some Baytril, which worked for a little bit but no so much after a few weeks. The vet now decided to prescribe dixociclyne. Has any of you tried this antibiotic? How...

    Oral medicine administration help

The way I give my chameleon (Jackson’s) any oral medication is by wrapping him up tight in a hand towel, as that makes difficult for him to move and helps me have a better grip. Then, I use a wet q-tip and gently rub and press it against the side of his mouth until he opens it. Once he does, I...

Best temperatures for Jackson’s at nighttime

I have a Jackson’s Chameleon who got sick from a respiratory illness. He was able to recover after some antibiotics prescribed by the veterinarian and some sessions on a hot steamy humidifier at home. I’m always very careful with everything, as Jackson’s are soooo delicate! Including making...

    Jackson eating millipede

hello! I took my Jackson Chameleon out to take some sun and even though I was watching him.... in just a few seconds he caught a millipede who I guessed just crawl out of somewhere in my patio. I live in the tropics, so we have a lot of them around and I know they can be somewhat poisonous. My...

    Jackson Chameleon head movements

The glass doors of his vivarium don’t cause a reflection but now I remembered that the mirror closet doors in the room he is at do cause a reflection. Although he is quite separated from them. So maybe that’s the problem. I’ll find a way to fix that. Thanks a lot

    Jackson Chameleon head movements

I have a Jackson’s Chameleon who makes a continuous strange head movement. I know they move their heads to show dominance or to protect their territory but this time it seems a little weird. My chameleon is a male, about 9 months old, has a 48”x30” vivarium (made of both glass and perforated...

    HELP!!!

Well it does seem that he is dehydrated. If you can take him to a vet, please do so. If not, keep offering water and see if he reacts to it well. However, Chameleons are very delicate animals and it might be difficult to have him fully recover without a vet’s assistance. Best wishes and hope he...

    HELP!!!

There are tons of thing that could be wrong but he is probably dehydrated. Check levels of humidity in your enclosure. Give him plenty of access to water. Offer water on a dripper and see if he drinks. Check his eyes, if they are sunken that’s a sign of dehydration.

    Jackson's got hot too quick

I started to take my Jackson's Chameleon (8 months old) every weekend out for a few minutes of direct natural sun rays. He has a very nice vivarium (48"x30") where I keep UVA & UVB lights, however, nothing beats the good old sun. The first day he did fine, however, the second day he did not do...
