    General Cham Chatter

Man, his colors are stunning. Make sure you're watching him around that soil, if he were to eat any it could cause an impaction. Never know, he might see a fly or something buzz along into the soil and grab a chunk of it with his tongue.

    Chameleon Poop 101

Worst case scenario make her drink water. That's a last resort option when all else has failed. I usually spray my guy with a bit of water in between his eyes at the indent in his head. Water will roll right down into a cham's mouth when you do that.

    Nocturnal activity

Well, I’d assume that like humans, chameleons can have sleep schedules. He could be used to staying up late and getting to bed early in the morning and sleeping until the middle of the day. Have his lights been going through a 12 hour day/night cycle? If so, did he have a previous owner that...

Veiled chameleon some blacks and browns.

The store said 8 months, and if that’s true he’d be about 10 months right now. He has a dripper all day and 3 2 minute misting sessions a day. The basking spot is at 85 and the ambient is around 70 degrees.

Veiled chameleon some blacks and browns.

Trust me, it's a he. It's just the camera angle. I wasn't really spraying his mouth per say, more so the space between his eyes that lets water flow into his mouth.

    Newbie here; Hello all!

Welcome aboard. Spyro looks like a cool little dude. You should lose the water bowl since chameleons are supposed to drink "rain" droplets (courtesy of mistings and a dripper) off of the leaves in his enclosure. I've heard from multiple experts on the forums that bacteria can form in the water...

They come and go, sometimes he'll look like that, other time's he's green as can be, and there are times he'll be even darker.

He’s at my bathroom sink because I was spraying his mouth just to make sure he’s not dehydrated. Now back in his enclosure.
