I never had a problem with impaction but i have had problem with ants and other bugs infiltrating the substrate which is seriously terrible lol It looks cool but kinda extra upkeep. Cleaning cages with out it is so easy. I used it for a while but having that flat plastic at the bottom makes...
My chameleon Pancake died 2 days ago kinda out of no where, his energy dropped real quick and he died on the way to the vet :(. My other chameleon is over 6 years old so I was pretty bummed to lose one at 2. Anyways, Looking for a new baby probably with in a month, hate seeing an empty cage. If...
lol i dont think thats a good way of doing it ^ onemorecast
Take a picture of the side of him and see if you can see a bumb from his tail to before his but. the person above its too hard to tell cuse its more of an above pictue, you need a side picture
Just dont get a vailed usually they are dicks. Panthers can be trained as babies, spend time with them, be easy with them and eventually they will come around. Chameleonsonly.com is very good with their chams, everyone i know who has got a cham from them is super friendly. Its hard to tell there...
Pancake was having trouble opening his left eye, after what i thought was an infection (its possible) i used terramycin and it fixed the goop but then he couldnt open his eye. I was using a zoomed 5.0 CFL, it was the bigger of the 2 but it wasnt it was giving him proper lighting. I have another...
yea mine is red when he does it. sometimes its longer than that. its VERY strange and scary looking. but no hes having trouble opening one of the eyes so im pretty sure ive diagnosed it to the UVB bulb. hopefully both these problems both go away
that is exactly what its doing! its creepy as ****. my other cham has never done anything similar so this is the first ive seen it. thanks for the info! the only problem now is that hes having trouble opening one of his eyes which i believe i have diagnosed due to the UVB bulb which im getting a...
I use repashy Calcium plus everyday, have a CFL zoo med 5.0 (longer of the 2) and standard cage exceterra. Anyways! His eye will randomly do this, it gets huge and swollen looks gross and very irregular. Has anyone had this problem before? I have no idea what it is!!
Hes not closing his eyes, he has like a gunk build up. Im guessing its just an infection that i didnt treat long enough with the terramycin. the guy below encouraged me to try it longer. Im gonna try it for a week or more and hopefully thats the trick. Gonna switch the light soon as well
Pancake has this recurring eye problem where it gets crusty and goopey and i have terramycin i give him a drop a day for 2 or 3 days and it goes away just like that. Im just curious if this is UVB related or he just has an eye problem. Curious on thoughts. I have the larger compact bulb and with...
This is the only legit answer I got, thank you. Swelling is gone. It his eye is bothering him. He has trouble blinking only in his right eye now. It'll be perfectly fine then swell up when he tries to blink. I've been using terramycin which causes irritation at first and I think it's helping but...
So its both eyes and i do use repashy calcium plus every day for his crickets, which does have vitamin A but ive used it with my other cham and its never been a problem. But i guess its not too important how. ill have an udate in a few days when i start the terramycin
By normal water i mean its purified. theres no way its bad for their eye. saline from what ive read is not good for them as well (not 100% sure) but the water got the gunk out and the built up came back. i ordered some terramycin anti bacterial stuff so this should do the trick. problem is that...
So thanks for the info. I purchased terramycin which I've read good things, I hope he's fine. Sorry your chamy died from it red dog, I'm pissed this happened :( poor pancake he's only 5 or 6 months old. Not sure how this happened....
