Hi there,
I have been researching how to look after a panther chameleon, and which products are best to use. I now know exactly what products I am going to use!
Zoo med reptibreeze XL
Zoo med dimmable clamp lamp (for basking bulb)
Zoo med 60w basking spot
Zoo med 30cm t5 fitting (t5 tube...
Hi there
I know that you need a smaller cage for the chameleon for until it is 9 months old and can go into an adult cage! This got me thinking, however, why do the babies need a smaller cage? Wouldn't it be better for them to have more room to explore like they would in the wild?

Hi there,
I am not the most knowledgeable on the forum, so maybe wait for one of the senior members to come;) but personally I would say that that is probably a little too much, how old is your chameleon? I am going to get my very own ambilobe soon :D and I am just going to have one 5.0 zoo med...
Hi there,
I have been looking at all sorts of different enclosures recently and today I finally thought I had found the right one (exo terra flexarium) but then I looked at the reviews and there were lots of negative reviews :( do any of you have any experience with the flexarium? Now I am...
Oh ok, that's fine but I want to minimise the amount that get out, I am assuming that you are a Cham owner yourself, how many bugs escape for you?
Thanks,
JJ
That's 267 USD! Is this a bad deal? Another question, seeing as you are so knowledgable :D would you recommend an exo terra flexarium or a screen cage, they look very similar to me but the flexarium is cheaper. I have heard stories about crickets escaping in the flexarium (my worst nightmare)...
Thanks for this guys, I went to the local petstore recently, and asked them questions that I already knew the answer to, just to see if they knew. Now the guy that I asked is a friend so he can get us a discount! They seemed pretty knowledgeable, they were giving it proper care when I came in...
Thanks All of you guys, you have given me the confidence I need! I will hopefully buy one in the near future! One of the huge downsides to a leopard gecko was the fact that they are nocturnal :|
Hi there,
I have recently been looking at a zoo med terrarium hood ( http://www.888reptiles.co.uk/category-93/5590.html ) does this look OK? I am going to be using a 60w zoomed basking bulb and a 5.0 zoomed UVB lamp.
All comments appreciated :)
Hi Carol,
Thanks for your reply! I have been researching panther chameleons (slightly obsessed) :o so I know how to look after one! I do have my heart set on one, I think they are incredible animals so I would absolutely love to have my own! Anyway, what is so difficult about caring for a...
Hi there,
I have recently been doing a lot of research about panther chameleons, as I would like to buy my first ever reptile :) However, I went to the pet store today, and they said that it was not a very good starter reptile. Is this true? If so, are there any other reptiles that you would...
Hi Todd,
I am so glad that you are willing to help out with my chameleon care!
My cage size is 4 ft x 2 ft x 2ft
The chameleons age is probably going to be from 3-9 months old
The cage is not got plants in it yet, how many plants would you recommend?
Thanks again for taking and interes...
Hi there,
I was just about to buy the basking bulb for my panther chameleon, when it asked me what wattage bulbs I would like. My exo terra flexarium cage is 4ft tall and 2ft wide, so I was just wondering what wattage I should choose?
All comments are greatly appreciated :)
