They are cool, my boys found them online several weeks ago and I promised I would find them some. Didn't know it would be this hard to find 2 little frogs.
Hey everyone, yes I still have my 2 panthers and my 1 veiled. My boys now want a pair of Amazon milk frogs. I have searched everywhere I know of and have not had any luck. Going to try our local reptile expo sunday. Anyone know of anyone who has them? I'll take tadpoles or young frogs. Thanks
I breed my own hornworms. Eggs are super easy, I put about 50 in 1 cup with hornworm chow and takes about a week for them to start hatching. Once they get about 1/4" long I seperate them and put 25 in each cup. They grow fast even at room temperature. 2 weeks from the time the eggs are laid...
Lol, I almost buy a jacksons every time I'm at the show. My wife would kill me if I brought another one home. We are getting a new bloodhound puppy this weekend though. So I'll be spending time training him and eventually get him certified as a mantrailer. We like our animals.
You're good, no hard feelings. Have you checked out the midwest reptile show at the state fairgrounds yet? They have one every month and thats where I buy all my feeders
63-64 is a little cool to be letting them outside to take in some sun. Mine dont go out unless it is above 70. Are you housing those chams together? If so it might be time to seperate them before they start stressing each other out.
I try to buy all my feeders local. We usually have a couple reptile shows a momth an hour from me and get what I need there for dirt cheap. 1000 super worms for 20 bucks 1000 crickets for 16 bucks. Also have roaches and hornworms usually.
My panther was doing the same thing. Took a poop sample to the vet to be inspected and found he had parasites. Pin worms to be exact. Did a 3 day dose of panacur 2 weeks ago and he is much better. Tomorrow will be the last day of his second round. I suggest taking a poo sample to the vet to see...
I have a veiled that just turned 1 year old this past week. He has been evil for the last 8 months. Has bitten my hand several times. He hates anyone being in his cage. It's so bad he actually comes after me when im cleaning his cage. Thought about using a stun gun on him next time o_O
Please dont run anything that uses ethanol gasoline in your home. Not only will your pets die but you will be putting everyone in your house at risk. Im lucky enough to have natural gas and I stalled a small heater in the wall of my back room where my reptiles are to keep it nkce and warm even...
Yes you will be good with that. 2 of my chams quit eating crickets about 6 weeks ago. Been feeding them supers and house flies alomg with a few horns when I have them. They love the house flies so I ordered some blue bottle pupae. My veiled loves the flying insects
I do not have starter tubes, I have electronic ballast. You might try buying a new starter to change out the one making noise. Just a thought. Would be a cheap test, only a couple bucks for one.
Sounds like the ballast is the culprit. Some just make noise from day 1. I have 4 different uvb fixtures and none of them make noise. Try a different bulb also, sometimes the bulb itself can make a buzz.
Has anyone ever used chia grass as a live background or even a carpet? I was thinking about growing some on a piece of filter fabric and hangimg it on the back of my cage. Thought it would provide more humidity and look cool.
