    MistKing Not Working :(

SUCCESS!!! Well I did a bit of your advice and a bit of What If. Well I had a extra transparent hose in the house and decided to put that one on to see if anything was going in from the water bucket. I noticed that there was a little air bubble moving up the hose very very slow (after...

    MistKing Not Working :(

Hi Everyone, So I got my new Starter pack and I havent been able to get it to work. I tried checking the tubes for clogs and correct flow direction; plugged it into the timer and outlet directly; checked both ends and its neither sucking nor blowing (that's what she said:D). All it does is...

I use eluminum screen, I hear crickets can't eat through it. Which is a must for me or my wife would kill me if she sees any on the floor.

    Rain dome, and Jacksons

Dexter stares at it for a good while then he starts testing the water (sort of like we dip our feet when we get in the pool), slowly puts his head in then takes another while to start drinking. Do you think this is why we need fogers for them? Seen that main youtube video on jacksons...

    Out of options...need help...

Its probably that hes outgrowing his cage. Thats usually the cause. In regards to the eating, have you tried changing feeders?

    Completed new enclosure

The setup looks really good. He may be dark because he needs to get adjusted to the new look or its too small. If by chance its too small, I've seen people extend the cage by adding a mesh one on top. That way you can just add plants and vines to the top without messing that cool setup.

    Brave Heart Jackson Update

why cant you keep him again? Sorry to hear that you have to let him go. and yea, you make sure the guy knows his stuff. You should also make it a requirement for him to be on the forums (hopefully this is where you got in contact.) Best of luck.

    That Feeling

That feeling you get when your MistKing arrived in the mail and you have 1 more hour to go at work. Im sure many of you have that feeling with the feeders, chams etc. Im nearly done with Dexters new cage. The cherry on top was the MistKing. Hopefully im done by Sunday. Those with...

    Heat lamps?/scratching?

Make sure its a 5.0 uvb and not just a basking light (which is what the red one is) You need both a UVB and a basking light on during the day (12 hrs). At night there should be nothing on. If it gets too cold at night, a ceramic bulb and covering the sides should work (just check the...

    Switching to T5 HO & Arcadia's!

The Zoo Med T5 HO fixtures plus 5.0 florescent combo pack are about $60.00 (24 inch fixture with 22" florescent) I went along and got it, the bulb wasn't doing enough. Right away it made a huge difference for both the lighting and my chams behavior.

    Crickets/Locusts escaping from my feeder!

Theres a video on youtube about using a Sunny D bottle then adding a screen mesh on the inside so they can climb(that way your cham can see them). If you already have the screen mesh, I believe they are jumping out because the width of you bottle is too short. Hope this helps.

    NEW ENCLOSURE JUST BUILT 18x18x50"

Is that a red nightbulb? I dont think veterans here recommend it here. You also might need to get atleast a 22" 5.0 UVB florecent tube to cover that distance (reptile stores should now have the fixtures that come with the tube at a good price) Plus you need a basking light. Check the...

    Chameleon sleeps upside down?

Yup, my Jackson's Cham sleeps upside down even face down. No worries there. However you should make sure he's not too close to the basking light if he's hanging from the top screen.

    Should I move me chameleon

you can, but dont have the cage face your gecko, then put like a towel or something covering the side thats facing the other enclosure. Also, from what ive been told here, you need to lose the red light. The red bulb hurts their eyes.
