also putting this thread here as technically he's not `for sale'...

Hi folks... as much as it sucks to write this I'm wondering if anyone in the New York City area -- perhaps folks going to the Long Island expo this coming weekend -- are interested in adopting a 3.5 yr old male Nosy Be in solid health.
I unfortunately had to take a sudden job switch to Chicago...
Hi folks -- I am moving from one major city to another by plane over the course of a few trips the next month. Looking for help on how best to transport my four-year old male panther. I plan on just rebuilding a setup for him upon arrival.
Thank you!!
I seem to be having the opposite problem as another poster this morning: Heisenberg is ADDICTED to hornworms. What originally began as what I perceived to be a hunger strike is turning out to just really be an affinity for the things. (He'll eat some crix if I don't give him a worm for a few...
Hey folks please let me know how Heisenberg's mouth looks. I'm not concerned about anything in particular but figured I should give it a little checkup. Please do tell if anything seems off.
When I went to bed, there were ZERO dubias in Heisenberg's feeder dish. (There were some in there over the course of the past week and when it became clear he wasn't eating the remaining four, out they went. Mercy killing.)
Then, a few mornings later: there was one in the dish, and then the...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Panther, male, 1 yr old, in care since 4 mo.
Handling - Once every few weeks to examine for any issues
Feeding - Started on crickets, then to dubias, feeding schedule WAS about 7 crickets/dubias a day which would last from 1-2 days. In a pinch, ~1/month, some...
Not sure why but it seems Heisenberg the past five days has been spending a significant amount of time in the bottom half of his cage, where he used to very rarely venture to.
I haven't actually seen him doing anything suspicious down there but it's like he's looking for something. I was...
Delayed Heisenberg's feeding today so that he'd be hungry enough to eat in front of me.. and I was able to nab a quick video I thought I'd share - I never get tired of watching them eat!

I was lazy on Friday and just poured some Bug Burger powder on top of the gutload veggies and it seems the crix have been chowing it down. Is there any benefit to heating it apart from solidifying it? Is the water some kind of catalyst for bringing out other ingredients?
Thanks!
Hey folks, Heisenberg seems to be enjoying his new pad and doing well, eating crix and getting well-hydrated. And had his first shed with me!
I think I'm starting to get the hang of his moods but I'd like to get any thoughts from more experienced cham owners on what his colors mean...
Woohoo! Finally got my first cham, a nosy be from Matt at The Colorful Life chameleons. His name is Heisenberg (I'm hoping he'll be crystal blue).
Unpacking video of mostly my hands but also some chameleon, oops:

Questions for cham owners using a cool-mist humidifier aka Human Fogger:
Attached is my setup.
1) The tube I'm using to channel the vapor into the cage is pretty focused, is that going to be overwhelming? The vapor stream is softer if it's on a lower output level but then it doesn't...
Is there somewhere online you can buy reliably gut-loaded feeders like dubias and crickets on a regular basis? I'm willing to pay for the convenience of not having to breed feeders in my small manhattan apartment long-term... would much rather just buy a few week's supply a few times a month...
Finally, here's my setup for a four month old nosy be! Let me know if anyone has suggestions or sees anything off please.
What you're looking at is an 18x18x36 reptibreeze. On top is a 12% Arcadia and a 5000k bulb for plant growth. Two 60W bulbs provide basking spots, one up top at about 83°...
I know that actinophylla is no bueno but what about Trinette and Capella variations?
Confused because Home Depot lists them as arboricola under the product specifications. I obviously do not know much about plant taxonomy.
Thanks...
In final stages of cham prep and wondering who successfully uses a commercial gutload. I'm not totally opposed to cooking up my own but I'd prefer paying for convenience on this matter.
My local petstore has Repashy gutload that seems decent, thoughts...
