    Retained shedding on the nose?

Hey everybody! George has had what seems to be a patch of skin that hasn't shed for about two months. It doesn't seem to be constricting or painful for him, but it definitely isn't budging and is quite noticeable. Any help greatly appreciated, a vet trip can happen pretty much any time...

    P.Grandis! Looking for some tips.

Apologies for the double post but I guess nobody has any tips! I've decided to stick with the one unless I can find one within the next week. He's settling in nicely and I've gotten him/her to eat some fruit and silkies. If anybody has any good experiences with these animals, please share...

    P.Grandis! Looking for some tips.

Hey everybody! Has been a while since I've been here. Hope everyone is well. George has essentially grown into a perfect Chameleon, and I've decided to... "Expand" my hobby and get a Giant Day Gecko. I actually want to go into breeding them, however. Today, I bought a young'n from a good pet...

Just wish people would do more research

Gotta admit I've seen some upsetting stuff on this forum. But that's part of the reason this forum exists, correct? We need to help educate people. Seeing posts from people who have bought a Chameleon impulsively, or clueless parents buying their kids Chameleons and so on is quite upsetting but...

    Updates on George!

Sorry for the bump, but he just shed yesterday and I thought I'd bring up that he seems to be striding towards going much more orange. Almost half of his body is orange now. Full of surprises this one.

    Updates on George!

Hey guys. I'll throw this one in too, it was from just over a month ago but hes still turns this sort of colour when flared, like I said, pretty much yellow/orange and the blue isn't quite blue.

    Updates on George!

It is really strange. I have this picture of him from 3-4 months ago. Much different, he still has some blue but it is turning a much darker/green colour. I've heard they don't reach full colour until quite late, so he probably has some more surprises for me, but the yellow/green he turns...

    Updates on George!

Hey everybody! Thought I'd drop by and give you all an update on George. He's now, presumably, 9-10 months old and precisely 15" from nose to tail tip. He was probably around 5-6" when I bought him. His growth has decelerated rapidly and he only sheds once a month now. He weighs enough for it...

    critisizing my chams are you?

I'm quite lucky that a lot of my friends seem to like reptiles, most really hate bugs though so they get a bit creeped out when I'm handling cockroaches/locusts like they're a separate pet (I love all animals). But yeah I could totally see people being creeped out by reptiles... But...

    Opinions on Chameleon Pricing

Chameleon pricing is a bit odd. Down here in this part of England, only one store I know stocks Panthers and they get them from a reputable breeder. The males cost something like £125 and the females £90-100. These are young ones too, adults go for much more. Veileds are about £60. It must be...

    George's first shower

Something I forgot to mention was the misting system. This arrived about 3 weeks ago and we finally got it set up. It isn't entirely done yet. I need a water heater for it really, as I don't want to freeze the poor guy. He has plenty of space to escape the rain as well. We set it up so 4...

    George's first shower

He's a little spoiled man. Hopefully he'll remain friendly for his whole life, I feel that he misses the outdoor adventures we used to go on during the summertime. I know I am :P Can't wait for the temperature to rise again, here's hoping the UK has a good summer in 2012.

    George's first shower

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd share some more George news :) George is now fairly large. Heavy enough that his grasp is quite painful on my skin. He's still the friendliest chameleon in the world and while there have been some days of worry (Knowing me, just a bit of...

    iPhone pix??

Actually it's quite simple to put custom ringtones on the iPhone without buying them. You simply convert 30 seconds of any song you want into a ringtone, sync and done.

    Karma is constipated?

I thought George was constipated (He hadn't pooped for 5 days) and went to check on him in the morning... Biggest poop I'd ever seen. There were no survivors. No cause for concern currently I'd say. Hopefully a shower will work :)

    More of George!

That's what I think too. There was a point where his head casque looked quite flat and normal, but overtime it became quite a prominent feature on his head. Maybe I fed him too much, but he seemed quite happy with that. He definitely has some growing to do, I visited the place I got him from and...

    More of George!

Definitely sold as a blue bar Ambilobe, but I haven't seen his parents. I hear the breeder is highly regarded in this area for being one of the best in the country though. I should have requested some pictures of the sire really, but no matter. I love his odd casque though. In terms of age...

    More of George!

It has been a while since I last made a George thread, so I decided today was the day. Here are some photos from today. He joined me for an hour while I was doing some computer stuff (Artwork). A very blurry picture of him on my hand for size ref, he isn't growing as fast anymore and his...

Why Cant My Cham FIRE UP?

I walked past a mirror with George on my shoulder the other day and he just tried to grab himself in the mirror. Friendly nutter. Probably hasn't become territorial enough yet. Might be a good thing, depends how you look at it.

    Advice for winter

Fair advice all around, I'll keep going how I am. I have a ceramic bulb ready for cold nights. Fortunately the heating is on all winter in my house, so it shouldn't be too bad.
