9 month old chameleon purchased from flchams 6 months ago. He is pedigreed and his father is Janis if you want to look at him at flchams.com. Chameleon is even tempered, and has beautiful coloring. Comes with a 36 gal apogee reptarium w/ plastic base, both heat and UV lamps and fixtures, a...
5 month old veiled chameleon, bought him from a reputable breeder (FLChams) and I'll be moving around so I think it will be too hard on him. Beautiful chameleon, plus small Apogee reptarium plus the reptisun 5.0 light, and heat lamp, light fixtures plus a few plants. If you really want I'll...
I have a 5 month old veiled chameleon that I bought a couple months ago from FLChams, and I just found out I will be moving to Alaska for a summer job. I'll be returning at the end, but that would be a lot of stressful travel for Mr. Cham, so I was wondering if there's a chameleon classified...
Hi everyone,
My 2 and a half old veiled cham is housed in a 38 gal. reptarium. I have a ficus tree and two plastic exo terra plants tucked up in the top bars to hang down to give him a basking spot. I use a very shallow feeding cup to feed him phoenix(repti) worms and I try to let the crix...
After doing some research, seems that veileds naturally are a little grumpy, and I also have a bearded dragon if I really need some herp love:) I had him out today, he was pissed, had his colors a flarin', so every time he gaped I stuck a phoenix worm in him mouth. Is this a valid technique...
Hey everyone,
After surfing this site and others there are a few questions I can't seem to find answers too. What is the correct way to pick up a chameleon? If they are hissing and running away from you, do you continue to try to pick them up, or let them go? I've currently got my little...
@Gensen When you say free ranging, is that letting the cham out to crawl around on furniture?
@Carol They are getting fed kale, carrots, and apple slices, along with Flukers calcium gut load
hello friendly people of the forums, Happy Halloween!!
So my questions are as follows, I've had my baby about 2 weeks, he's in his new reptarium and doing well. I waited about 10 days and now I've been taking him out nearly every day for a few minutes to hold him and let him climb...
Hey guys just wondering if you had any tricks to keep humidity up in reptariums. With all the air flowing through, it seems like it could be a problem. I also live in Utah so the air is fairly dry here. Thanks!
I just got some reptiworms today, he loves them, he ate three right away. He also had a medium sized mealworm and two or three crickets, so I think we're good. I just got him in his new cage and so i'll let you guys know if I have any more questions. Thanks you all!
How are you guys feeding him? My guy never seems to eat, I don't know if he's bad at hunting or what. He's 2 months old, and crickets will run right in front of his face and he won't eat them... I don't get it
After reading your posts, I just took out little Puff for about 3 minutes. He gaped at first, but then settled down when he was crawling around my arms and shoulders! So cute!! What's your strategy in handfeeding him, he just keeps running from my hands. @Olimpia, how often can you handle...
