Food Diary, April 2012

I've had some requests to re-start my monthly log of what feeder prey is provided to and eaten by my panther chameleons. I happened to have some extra time this month, so here's one month - can't promise to keep it up as this is a very busy year for me. Older entries still have value, if you're just looking for a sample :)

For the purposes of this blog entry i take how much each of my boys eats, add that up then divide the sum by the number of chameleons. So the amounts are an Average indicating the intake by a single adult male panther. Generally speaking they all eat about the same amount anyways, so the average is quite accurate and reliable. Also, my Females are generally fed the same, sometimes just a little less quantity. (some of the Older logs show the monthly intake of females and/or young).

Gutloading listed is just what was mainly offered to the bugs in the 12-24 hours previous (I cant list everything they eat as it would take forever and be boring!)
