Rep points

Its not that rep points actually matter that much, and its not that Im ungrateful. I mean, Im glad anytime someone finds something I've posted helpful or interesting enough to give me rep points. I like to be helpful.
But it seems odd, sad, unfortunate, even a little demotivating to receive rep points for something I thought was trivial, yet get no acknowledgment at all for threads in which much time and effort went into my input/posts, where I was really doing my best to be helpful and informative.

One of the problems with rep points is that you can only give so much to one person in any given time. There have been times that I found your info very informative and helpful but it has been too soon since the last rep + so by the time i "spread" rep pts. elsewhere, I have been too distracted or forgetful to go back and give it where I intended to. :)

And with all the good info you help us with, maybe I'm not the only one it happens to?

Plus, if you got all the rep points I have tried to give (and I'm sure there are more than just me trying), your whole background would be little green squares!

Your info is awesome and I refer people to your stuff all the time. I just can't say how much better Twister's life was after I found out the truth about good nutrition even with all his problems. And, I credit the knowledge you have shared with me as the main reason my babies are doing so well and growing strong and healthy.

Yes, I concur.

Many times, Im just not able to give you rep on the really awesome stuff. So when I see something whitty or entertaining, I may try again then. :)

I give rep points for "trivial" information, cause I find it very helpful when experienced keepers take time and effort to explain often very basic stuff to new keepers who seem to be lost. I think forums like this are great in that way. We not only share our obserations about "advanced keeping", but many people have the patience to help those who are taking their first steps in the chameleon keeping field. That's way, in my opinion, getting rep points for the "trivial" info shouldn't be demotivating to you. We all appreciate the effort you put not just into "advanced" knowledge, but also explaining the basics to newbies ;)
