Boxing day 2010 a pipe plugged up, causing the expelled dirty water from the laundry washing machine, the dish washer and the shower stall to back-up. The floor (not just in that room, but the entire ground level of the house), the baseboards, etc all had to be ripped up and replaced.
One year later, turns out that when the toilet in that room was re-attached, it wasnt done properly. We dont use it much, but with guests here over the holidays it got plenty of use. Now there is sewage under the new floor. The entire floor will have to be replaced, again.
Not to mention, it is GROSS to think about.
