A Tribute to Sid

We had to let Sid go yesterday. I haven't even got over loosing Luie yet and probably never will. Sid was a big handsome boy that my daughter hatched in Nov. 2008. He was Mufasa's oldest son and lived with my daughter until November 2010 when he and all the other panther came to live with me. He was so sweet and would have liked to have been held 24/7. He hated going back to his tree. I feel bad that I had to split my time between so many chameleons and didn't have more one on one time for Sid.

Wow. So much heartbreak lately with you. I'm sorry that you're having to go through yet another difficult time. Sid lived a good life. You know this and we know this.

The community is always here to support you and help you through these times.

Jann, I am so sorry to hear. From all the posts I have read from you, you loved them so much. Just keep remembering how much joy you brought them by taking really good care of them.

Jann my heart breaks for you. You have been through so much loosing so many dearly loved babies. So many and so close together. Sid was such a beautiful guy and he will shine down his many colors from up in heaven. You are such a wonderful Mom and have done so much in caring for all that you have. You might feel that you have spread your time less from having many... But I know the time you spent was all quality and probably even more time then many other chameleons have have in life. Please know the lives they have lived with you have been blessings to each and every one. God bless you sweetie and know you are in my heart and prayers.

Oh Jann, I am so sorry... I am hurting with you over here as I look at your beautiful memorial to him. He was a gorgeous chameleon and was blessed to have you as a caretaker and friend.

Oh no, Jann, you have had some extremely trying times lately. I am heart-broken at all the loss you have had to deal with recently. I know how much you love your chams. Losing any one is devastating, but losing two in such a close time frame - it's really too much heartache.

Awe Jann. So sorry to hear this. As with your other chams and pets, Sid received the best of the best and you should take pride in that. Sorry that you had to lose him so close to Luie. He was an awesome panther. RIP Sid, I know you will be missed.

Oh Jann i'm so sorry you have been having such a hard time with your babies lately you are in our hearts and prayers. Sid was a beautiful boy and he will be missed. Rest in peace Sid.

Jann, I know I can't say anything that will make things better. I can only tell you that even though we have never met, I know how much you are hurting right now and only wish I could do something to help. I can't imagine how many tears you have shed (I've shed some too!) and I only wish I could make them turn to tears of joy. I am so sorry for your loss of Sid, and wish you had a little more time with him! (Actually a lot more!) As Lisa has stated, they wanted for nothing! I couldn't put it better myself! I know that you would give so much for just one more day with them, and some day I hope you can look back with only great memories and never any pain. I just wish that you never had to go through this! Unfortunately, when you give so much of yourself, you feel so much pain when that time comes. Fortunately, its the time we spend together that makes it all worth while. Hope this video will help you through this sad time and be something to help you realize how much you mean to Sid, Luie, Mufasa, Padre, Gizmo, Elly, Camille, Bertha and Joppa, and of course Sadie, Hera, Jr., Dulce and Red!

Jann - you are such a fantastic animal guardian, and to have all this tragedy fall upon you all at once seems unfair, to say the least. All of your animals are so blessed to have you in their lives, and Sid's life was richer having you in it. RIP to all of your dearly departeds...

I am very sorry to hear about Sid. I am so sorry you have to go through this. Chameleons should have long life spans like some birds and turtles. Know that you gave him a wonderful life and did all that could possibly be done for him.
