I have been tinkering with my panther's new cage (adult cage- 48x24x24) and I just changed his basking bulb from a 60 watt to a 75 watt. I did this because at his basking branch, the temp was reaching about 82, 84 max. He's a 7 month old panther and I am hoping the higher wattage will warm up his basking spot and the temps around the top of the cage.
Is this a good bulb to have to is it too hot? I just put it in today and went to work so I won't know what the temp is until I get home. Any suggestions?
