What kind of chameleon is this?

Hey guys. Picked this guy up for free tonight and just finished building him a custom cage now. Pictured below are the custom cage (because I'm proud ) and the cham himself. The cage is approximately 13x13x24 to put things in perspective. What do you guys think?

i dont know that much about species and all that jazz so id at this point id rather not guess and feel like an idiot but im willing to guess its a girl.

Haha, Ashley from Cloud 9 reptiles lives very near me and she posted a "for free" ad on craigslist. I was just lucky enough to nab him/her. She said she was told it was a "Grace chameleon", but it doesn't look to me like a C. gracilis. I'm thinking it's some sort of pygmy but I'm trying to confirm. What makes you say it's a female?

It's definitely a wild caught animal so treat accordingly. With a tail base that size it's probably a male. If you could post larger, clearer pics we could tell you for sure but if I had to hazard a guess it's probably a Flapneck Chameleon but am not ruling out a Graceful or a Senegal Chameleon at this point.

Awesome! Thanks a lot, Chris. After some actual species specific reading I'm even more excited to have this guy. Quick question (if you think you can answer), what gender is it and what mood is it's color indicating? After looking at that chart I'm finding it quite hard to place (perhaps sub-adult display?)
